Cork forests are one of the most sustainable and environmentally harvested forests in the world. The bark is ready to be re-harvested after 9 to 12 years allowing for a constant supply of natural bark. A 200 year old cork tree can even be harvested over 16 times.
That's why we use cork for insoles and midsoles due to these unique set of properties, not found in any other naturally existing material. It's lightweight, comfortable, moldable, hypoallergenic, soft and buoyant. (Also, cork is anti-bacterial making it virtually odour-free).
It's the #LOCIway
